Terms of Service
The terms and conditions that govern your use of Heal Young Massage services and this website. Please read these before booking your appointment.
1 Our Services
Heal Young Massage PTY LTD provides remedial massage therapy and exercise science services, including assessment-led treatment, movement analysis, and associated health services.
Services are provided by Hill Yang, who holds the following qualifications and registrations:
- Remedial Massage Therapist — Massage & Myotherapy Australia (MMA #031045)
- ESSA Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES #17005)
Our services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or advice from a registered medical practitioner. We do not diagnose medical conditions. If you have a medical concern, please consult a qualified medical professional.
This is remedial massage therapy — not a relaxation massage. Treatment is assessment-led and may involve movement assessments, postural observation, and targeted hands-on work depending on your presentation.
More than 90% of treatment is performed with your clothes on. The primary technique used is Dynamic Myofascial Release (DMFR), which requires direct contact with fabric rather than skin. Oil causes the hands to glide, which prevents DMFR from being performed effectively. Working through clothing also allows for continuous reassessment of movement and tissue response throughout the session.
Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — activewear or similar — so that movement is unrestricted and treatment can be performed without limitation.
2 Bookings and Appointments
All appointments are made through our online booking system (JaneApp) at healyoungmassage.janeapp.com.au. All appointments are subject to availability.
Online booking is the only way to make an appointment. We do not accept bookings by phone. If the online system is unavailable, please send an SMS to 0431 051 546 as an alternative. For referrals, reports, or additional clinical documents, please email hill@healyoungmassage.com.au.
A booking confirmation will be sent to your nominated email address. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are accurate and that appointment reminders are received.
Online intake form
A health intake form is required to be completed before your first appointment and updated whenever your health status changes. Failure to complete the intake form may result in a shortened or rescheduled appointment.
Arriving for your appointment
Please arrive on time. Treatment sessions run to fixed durations and we often have back-to-back bookings — we are unable to extend your session if you arrive late. The full appointment fee applies regardless of arrival time.
If you arrive more than 50% into your booked appointment time without prior notice, this will be treated as a no-show and 100% of the appointment fee is payable. For example, arriving more than 30 minutes into a 60-minute appointment constitutes a no-show.
3 Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that life gets in the way sometimes and are happy for you to modify your booking — we ask that you please give us at least 4 hours’ notice.
4 hours’ notice required. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 4 hours before your appointment start time. You can reschedule or cancel directly from your booking confirmation email.
Late cancellations (less than 4 hours’ notice) will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment fee.
No-shows — failing to attend without any notice, or arriving more than 50% into your booked appointment time — will incur a fee of 100% of the appointment fee.
Once you have received your booking confirmation via email, you have accepted these conditions.
Cancellation fees are charged in recognition of the time reserved for you. If you cannot cancel via the booking system in time, please send an SMS to 0431 051 546.
3a Infectious Disease and Illness
If you have any infectious illness — including flu, COVID-19, or similar — please reschedule your appointment at least 4 hours in advance. If you are unwell and within the 4-hour window, please send an SMS to Hill directly at 0431 051 546 as soon as possible.
In these circumstances, the late cancellation fee will be waived at our discretion. The health and safety of all clients is a priority — please do not attend if you are unwell.
4 Fees and Payment
Current appointment fees are displayed on our booking platform and website. Fees are subject to change — the fee applicable at the time of booking applies to that appointment.
Payment methods
- EFTPOS and major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Health fund rebates via HICAPS (on-site, at time of appointment)
Health fund rebates
We process health fund rebates on-site through HICAPS for eligible clients. The rebate amount is determined by your health fund and level of cover — we have no control over, and make no guarantees regarding, rebate amounts. It is your responsibility to confirm your eligibility with your health fund before your appointment.
Full payment of the gap amount (if applicable) is required at the time of your appointment. We do not offer deferred payment arrangements.
GST
All fees are GST inclusive. Receipts are provided for all appointments.
5 Informed Consent
Before treatment commences, we will explain the proposed approach and any assessment tools that may be used. You have the right to:
- Ask questions about any aspect of your assessment or treatment
- Decline or modify any proposed treatment technique at any time
- Request that treatment stop at any time without penalty
- Have a support person present during your appointment
By proceeding with an appointment, you confirm that you have been given the opportunity to provide informed consent to the proposed treatment, and that you understand the general nature of remedial massage and associated assessment procedures.
Draping and professional conduct
All treatment is conducted with appropriate draping to protect your modesty and comfort at all times. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, please communicate this immediately. Any conduct that is inappropriate, abusive, or threatening will result in the immediate termination of the appointment, and the full appointment fee will apply.
6 Client Responsibilities
To receive safe and effective care, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete health information, including all current medications, medical conditions, and recent injuries
- Inform us of any changes to your health status before each appointment
- Notify us immediately if you experience any unexpected discomfort during or after treatment
- Follow any self-care or post-treatment advice provided
- Disclose any contraindications that may affect your suitability for treatment (see Section 7)
We accept no liability for adverse outcomes arising from information you have failed to disclose or disclosed inaccurately.
7 Contraindications
Certain conditions may mean that remedial massage is not appropriate, or that modifications are required. It is your responsibility to disclose relevant conditions before your appointment. These include (but are not limited to):
Please disclose before booking: blood clots or deep vein thrombosis (DVT), active infection or fever, open wounds or skin conditions in the treatment area, recent surgery, fractures or acute injuries, cancer or tumours in the treatment area, blood thinning medications, pregnancy, and any condition your medical practitioner has advised requires care around manual therapy.
We reserve the right to decline or modify treatment if we assess that proceeding may pose a risk to your health or safety. This decision is made in your best interest and does not constitute a medical diagnosis.
8 Treatment Outcomes and Limitations
We provide assessment-led remedial massage therapy with the aim of supporting your musculoskeletal health and movement. However, we make no guarantees, warranties, or representations regarding specific treatment outcomes.
Individual responses to treatment vary. Factors including your overall health, lifestyle, adherence to self-care advice, and the nature of your presenting concern all influence outcomes.
Some clients may experience temporary post-treatment soreness, which is a normal response to remedial massage therapy. If you experience unexpected or prolonged symptoms following treatment, please contact us or consult a medical professional.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Australian law, Heal Young Massage PTY LTD and Hill Yang will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with, the services provided or your use of this website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where the ACL applies, our liability is limited to the resupply of the relevant service or payment of the cost of resupply, at our election.
Our professional indemnity and public liability insurance is maintained as required by our professional memberships.
